Design for Change uses a simple 4-step design-thinking framework, Feel /Imagine/ Do/ Share to cultivate this ‘I CAN’ mindset in children. We call it FIDS for KIDS! Using this framework, children are encouraged to ‘Feel’- any situation that bothers them, ‘Imagine’- a way to make it better, ‘Do’- put into action the change and finally, ‘Share’- their story of change with the world to inspire others!

DFC’s mission is to unleash the two magical and powerful words, ‘I CAN’in all children. The I CAN MINDSET equips every child to be AWARE of the world around them ENABLED with the skills to take action and EMPOWERED to design a more desirable and sustainable future- TODAY!
Everywhere we look – locally, nationally and globally – there are problems that need new solutions. Our young people need our help developing the skills and mindsets to navigate their ever-changing world. They also need to know that they are not passive observers, but have a role in shaping that world. Learning to think and act like a designer allows students to build empathy for others, builds confidence in their creativity, and helps them make an impact. Design for Change was born out of the conviction that children are not helpless, change is possible and they can drive it.
